Single Employer Welfare Program

The UFG 419A(C)(2) Single Employer Welfare Plan – or SEWP – is designed to complement the existing components of UFG’s Multiplan. As its name implies, SEWP is a non-discriminatory plan of benefits covering employees (and their dependents, if elected) of a single sponsoring employer. These benefits include:

  • Pre-retirement death benefit
  • Post-retirement death benefit
  • Post-retirement broad-spectrum medical benefits

SEWP is designed to comply with all current requirements of the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury Regulations, and rulings by the IRS and other regulatory bodies relating to eligibility, participation, and funding of benefits. It has been approved for funding by several companies and strives to be conservative in all areas of plan design.
